3 Concerts Cancelled due to Coronavirus

Experiencing your favourite artists perform live is truly a magical experience. The loud music, the cheers, and the bright lights surely bound to get you hyped. However, due to the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in Asia and the Philippines, these following events from your favourite artists have been cancelled to help prevent the spread of the virus in the Philippines and all around Asia.


1. Khalid - Free Spirit Asia Tour



“Young, Dumb and Broke” artist Khalid postponed his Asian tour dates; citing concerns for his fans, “his team and everyone who has been working on these concerts” Khalid was set to perform in Manila on April 2, as well in other cities like Bangkok, Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Seoul, Mumbai and Bangalore between March 24- April 14.



2. Avril Lavigne - Head over Water World Tour (Asian Leg)



In a March 1st Facebook post, Avril Lavigne expressed her great sadness with the cancellation of her shows in the Philippines and all across Asia in the effort of her and her band of staying safe from COVID-19. However, Lavigne is hoping for a rescheduling of her Asian Tours soon.


3. Green Day - HELLA MEGA TOUR



Punk rock band Green Day won’t be going through with their Asia tour dates due to heightening cases of COVID-19 in the continent. The band’s Hella Mega tour would have taken place in Singapore and other neighboring countries with confirmed cases of the virus. At the same time, the band’s concert here in Manila scheduled on the 14th of March was subsequently cancelled as well.
